Brandon's Population is 170,430..
Brandon encompasses 196 square miles and contains
the busiest intersection in Hillsborough county-
Route 60 (Brandon Blvd) and Brandon Town Center
Drive.
Brandon Florida is a bedroom community for
Tampa, Florida. There are three majors highways
which bring people easily to this area. The Leroy
Selmon Expressway makes commuting From Brandon to
downtown Tampa a short 15-minute trip.
Highway 60 is a six-lane state road, which
divides Florida between North and South and
connects the east coast of Florida to the West.
Interstate 75 intersects both the Expressway and SR
60 as it passes through Brandon.
The fastest growing intersection in Brandon
Florida is Providence Road and Lumsden. There has
been greater than twenty new commercial businesses
to be built near this intersection within the last
two years.
Using this rapid expansion as a stepping stone
to success, local Brandon entrepreneurs have opened
up shops to provide for the needs of the community.
With Brandon's only missing feature being an
independent downtown area, the town planners have
already tackled the issue head first by creating
the rough drafts for a new downtown in
Brandon. In it's design, "Downtown
Brandon" will feature Office Complexes, Retail
Storefronts, Walking Plazas, A Huge Park, and
easily accessed by feeder roads either planned or
already in place.
