Titusville, Florida

Titusville, located in north Brevard County is directly across the river from the Kennedy Space Center and is an ideal location for watching a space launch from the Space Center.

Besides the Space Center, Titusville and north Brevard County offer one of the best places to experience native wildlife in its natural environment and is home to one of the largest birding festivals in the Southeast United States.  Nearby Canaveral National Seashore is one of Florida's treasures with over 24 miles of unspoiled beaches.  

The Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge is another treasure to explore with over 140,000 acres teeming with hundreds of species of birds as well as  several endangered species. 

In the Titusville area, you can discover many wild animals including manatees,  giant sea turtles, alligators and dolphin. If you come to Titusville to enjoy the Space Center, you should definitely top it off with one of the many eco-tours offered.

Shopping is varied from the old downtown area to a shopping mall.  Dining is equally varied with riverfront dining, great Barb-B-Q, steakhouses and great Florida seafood.
