Palm Bay received its present name in the
1920’s. The
name came from the Palm Trees that surrounded the
bay at the mouth of Turkey Creek.
Palm Bay was incorporated in 1960 and since
then has become a strong hold for major high tech
businesses in Brevard.
An
abundance of recreational opportunities exist all
over the county.

animals native to Florida like the river otter,
water turtles, alligators, manatees and several
species of fish.
It is also home to migratory birds like the
rare white pelican.

old.
