Merritt Island, FLA

Nestled between the Banana River on the east and the Indian River on the west is Merritt Island.  This unincorporated area has seen dramatic changes over the past few years.

Many visitors to the Space Coast pass through Merritt Island, however many people choose to make Merritt Island their primary destination for a couple of reasons:  Shopping, Dining, Eco-Tourism and of course the Kennedy Space Center.  It is also a great place to live.

Along the main roads, 520 (Running East/West) and Courtenay Parkway (Running North/South) you'll find the Merritt Square Mall and other nationally known chain stores including Barnes & Nobles, Office Depot, a Super Wal-Mart, Target and many others.  Along 520 you'll find many popular eateries such as Tony Roma's, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Outback Steak House, Red Lobster, Olive Garden and more.

The Merritt Island National Wildlife Refugee and Sea Shore attracts visitors from around the world to experience over 300 species of birds and numerous reptiles.

Housing ranges from low cost condominiums priced in the 60's to multi-million dollar properties along scenic "Tropical Trail".  There are also canal homes that offer home owners access to the Banana River.  See the link for relocation above.
