Holmes Beach, is located between the towns of Bradenton
Beach and Anna Maria. The
community hosts many of the island's fine dining
establishments, lodgings and shopping centers to
delight your palette and soothe your soul. With
international cuisine prepared by chefs recognized
locally and internationally, meals range from
elegant and exotic to affordable, and always
include a free view of one of Florida's famous Gulf
sunsets.
Swimming, jet skiing, sailing, parasailing, or
fishing Are just a few of the activities Holmes
Beach has to offer and boat rentals are readily
available to fit a variety of watercraft. The land
lover might choose a picnic with a scenic view on
either the bay or Gulf side of the island, a
leisurely bicycle ride, a trolley trip to nearby
St. Armand's Circle in Sarasota, or a barefoot walk
in the white sand along the shore. Cultural and
recreational activities are just across the bay in Bradenton
and Sarasota. Larger attractions are but
a short ride to St. Petersburg, Tampa, and Orlando.
Holmes Beach has the highest population of the
three cities on Anna Maria island. With established
shopping centers, business areas and visitor
resorts it has done well to maintain a small town
feel. A variety of homes are available in the area
whether your looking for a winter retreat or a year
round residence. Holmes Beach is a true tropical
paradise to be explored and enjoyed.
