Pompano Beach is located about 40 miles north of Miami, and just 10-miles north of Fort Lauderdale.

Pompano Beach gets it's name from the prized fish, the Pompano, which is still found in the warm waters of the Atlantic.  Locals & tourists alike flock to Pompano Beach for it's 100 - 150 wide mile of beautiful sandy beach with living coral reefs just off shore.  Divers can start their trek to the shallow coral reefs directly from the beach or take one of the many dive tours offered in the area.

Besides the golden beaches, Pompano Beach offers 19 public  parks.  For lighthouse enthusiasts, the Hillsboro Lighthouse is quite visible throughout the area.  The Pompano Pier juts out 1,080 feet over the Atlantic.  For a small fee, one can stroll along the pier or drop a fishing line to take home the catch of the day.

The area offers sporting activities throughout the year; from golf, deep sea fishing, ice skating, tennis & volleyball.  And just a short drive away the one can enjoy professional football, basketball, hockey & baseball.
